Yolk sac tumor of the central nervous system (CNS) is a rare type of tumor that develops in the brain or spinal cord. It is a type of germ cell tumor, which means it develops from cells that are involved in the formation of eggs or sperm. Yolk sac tumors of the CNS are most commonly found in children and young adults. Symptoms of this type of tumor can include headaches, seizures, and changes in behavior or personality. Treatment typically involves surgery to remove the tumor, followed by chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.

Symptoms of a yolk sac tumor of the central nervous system can vary depending on the size and location of the tumor. Common symptoms include:
